The Secret World

Hey everyone, I'm back. Let's get straight into it.

The Secret World is an MMORPG, with new concepts never introduced before. Most of these concepts revolve around three conspiratorial factions. The Illuminati, the Templars, and the Dragon.

Illuminati
Illuminati is said to revolve around sex, drugs, and money. All of these are just the goodies, that come with power and wealth. With their headquarters in New York, the Illuminati strives to use their power to pursue the New World Order.

Templars
Based in London, the Templars are all about fighting the evil. Their royal highness provides them with the resources in order to follow through, and their spiritual strength keeps them fighting every day.

Dragon
Fueled by chaos and located in the "Seoul" of Korea, the Dragon fight for change in the corrupted and ironically secreted world.

GAMEPLAY
One account can contain three slots, one for each faction. You can try out each one, and stick with the one you like. Or if you are intrigued by each faction's story, you should definitely investigate the secret's you can only access by being part of that faction. I myself played as the dragon, and I must admit I am quite surprised.
       Character Creation
Starting our you get to create your own character, and dress them however you choose. You can even make the player look like yourself. Make sure you take your time on this part because once you choose you can only change your face once for free (in the Illuminati headquarters). You will then get a backstory to your faction, and go to the training ground in order to choose the weapon that best suits you.
      Weapons
You can choose from three categories: Melee, Range, or Magic. Melee consists a hammer, blade, or simply your fist. Range consists of a pistol, shotgun, or assault rifle. And last but not least you can choose either elementalist, chaos, or blood magic. I personally favor blood magic because it gives you the ability to heal yourself and other players.
      Skill and Ability Points
Whenever you complete certain challenges you will receive Skill Points(SP) and Ability Points(AP). SP allow you to upgrade your damage and other skills based on you weapon of choice. With AP you can buy new passive and active abilities to equip and use during your fights.
      Agartha
After you have discovered your own faction's city, you will be transported to Agartha, the transport world into all other worlds. From there you can travel to any other factions' city or continue on to other worlds and playing missions in order to continue discovering the secrets. You will get a ring that recharges every 28 minutes and will transport you back to Agartha no matter where in the game you are. Go on and discover each world and its missions.
       Discovering the Secret World
Each world will present new secrets, and you will just keep digging deeper and deeper. No matter what mission you're playing you will almost always have to fight zombies. It is very helpful if you can get online with a friend and play side by side in order to help each other locate certain objects or places and massacre the zombies standing in your way. If you and your friends want to challenge each other instead, by all means you can fight to the death in any of the factions' PvP battle arenas. Just make sure you come prepared.

Why You Should Come Play
I've never played an MMORPG before this one, but from what I hear, it has a greater variety of abilities, missions, and character make-up. If you ever plan on trying an RPG, this would definitely be the one. By the way I have two free trials for the game so if anyone is looking for a challenge I'd be happy to compete or play-along side you (your choice).

PS3 Update

The PS3 was just dropped from it's regular price, $300, to $250. So if anyone was planning to buy a PS3, but wanted the price to drop a little, now is the time. Now is actually the perfect time, because they probably won't release a new system in the next 2 or 3 years minimum, so your getting a good deal on a great system.

Star Fury

Star Fury is an old strategy game for the PC. It takes place in Space, and includes many many galaxies, beyond anything we know of a.k.a. science fiction.

Missions
You can start out with 1 of 3 missions. It takes a long time to get far and experienced so I haven't beaten any of them yet, but I started out with the first mission. When playing the actual game, you will receive many mini-missions when you land at planets, and you will need to carry them out on time so that you can receive credits which you can buy stuff with later.
Mission #1: Go deep undercover to find the reason for pirate attacks on the galaxy Terra; the galaxy that contains Mercury, Venus, Earth, etc. I haven't figured out how to do this yet, but I'm sure I will as the mini-missions get more complex. It may also have to do with attacking the right pirates to possibly acquire information. Again I don't know because my ship isn't good enough to fight tough pirates.
Mission #2: Assist Abiddon in their war against Xiati. I'm guessing this is a battle between two pirate groups although I'm not sure where or when in the whole map the battles take place, and how to finally complete it.
Mission #3: Enter Amonkrie territory and discover their hidden purpose. I'm guessing, again, that this is similar to how you complete the first mission except harder because it's mission 3 instead of 1.

Personally I think beating the 3 main missions isn't the biggest achievement in the game; this next part is my favorite......

Ship
When starting out, depending on the mission you choose, you will get to choose between 1 ship for the 1st mission, 2 ships for the 2nd mission, and 3 ships for the 3rd mission. Now depending on the ship you choose you get specific items on your ship, and a limited amount of cargo space. Some of the things that are included with the acquiring, or purchase, of your ship are armor, shield generators, weapons, extra cargo hold, and engines. Mostly all of these items are cheap in quality and should be replaced, to upgrade your ship. Any and all of the items in your ship can be sold at a spacedock, but be careful what you sell for example if you get rid of your life support your ship will quickly be destroyed because the "crew" on your ship will die, therefore leaving the ship uncontrolled, therefore causing it to eventually explode. You will need credits to buy new items for your ship or o buy a new ship.

Credits
You can acquire credits 1 of 2 ways. Number 1 is completing missions, which I suggest you do first, or number 2 attacking pirate ships and collecting their lose cargo (boxes which glow red on the vertices) after their ship's have been destroyed. I suggest you do this when your ship is well armored and you have good weaponry. If you get lucky you will find lose cargo laying around because of a fight between two pirate ships themselves, always try to pick it up if the area isn't dangerous. In the event that you don't complete a cargo carrying mission and you have lose cargo, sell it quickly at any space dock for some extra credits.

Enemies
Their are one type of enemies throughout the whole game, and those of course are pirates. When looking upon you map you will see the areas that are relatively safe and the pirate galaxies. There are mini-missions when you become more experienced, to destroy pirate ships and gain credits, and those pay out very well. I'm not experienced enough yet, but I believe if you take over a base or kill some specific pirates in a galaxy that galaxy may become safe. In the event that do encounter a pirate ship in a safe galaxy and your ship is not good enough to fight it off, slow down your speed and head in  45-70 degree angle away from the pirate. Most of the time it will leave you alone but if it doesn't, go repair your ship at a space dock and dip from that galaxy. Often there will be very small pirate satellites tracking you, and to avoid any problems just destroy it (you don't need much firepower), and you won't get tracked. Most likely pirates want you for your cargo, so as long as you sell your loose cargo frequently, save even more frequently (never know when you might die), and keep a low profile until you get good armor and good guns, you'll be safe and good to go.

Tekken Tag Tournament

This is one of the best "press all the buttons" one-on-one action games for the PS2. The reason it's "Tekken Tag" and not just "Tekken", is because you can tag in another fighter in each round to help you out which actually makes the game a lot more interesting.

Modes

Practice:
New to the game and want to get warmed up before you start kicking ass? Well practice has got what you need. Like all practice modes, you can go freestyle and try out different combos in an empty room and get used to some of the character's skills. But unlike most practice modes, you can fight against the CPU and adjust the difficulty to fit your skill. This CPU training consists of Chain Training and Combo Training. Chain training has different moves that pop up and shows you the buttons you need to push to execute them. Combo training allows you to practice different types of combinations, and see if you can get a ten hit combo on your opponent a.k.a. the computer. Also vice-versa, you can choose for the computer to take the ten hit combo on you, and you must try to block off the hits.

V.S. Battle:
There are a few different modes, but I'll start off with my favorite, VS battle. In this mode you can go against the computer or against another player, and you both players can choose 1-8 characters to use throughout the whole battle. Say one player has more experience than the other and they want to make the game fair, so the better player would choose 5 players and the new player would pick 8. Health rolls-over instead of filling all the way to the top at the beginning of each new round. Also if you win a match your fighters gain more health at the end.

1 vs 1 Battle: Just a regular battle between you/pc or you/player 2, only you get to play with one fighter each, no tag teaming. I would say this is the mode where you can put your true skills to the test and see if your character is the best. Battle it out in a 2 out of 3 match either against all the other characters or against another player who thinks he's better than you, with a specific character.

Arcade: Exactly the same as 1 vs 1 battle (if your playing with another person), except you CAN tag team in this one. Basically just a quick start game.  If your playing alone, you will go through a series of rounds and eventually come to a boss.
But there is one upside to this mode. In this mode you can unlock extra characters, and only this mode. Keep in mind though, when you turn off the game, the unlocked characters are not saved and you will have to start over next time you turn on the system; just like a word document that crashes with your computer.

Tournament: The big mode of the game, tournament. This is a 1 player mode only, where you try to beat 8 rounds of characters and a boss with just using 2 characters yourself. Every round you get a new tag team to defeat, and if you lose you may switch 1 or both of the characters in your team and continue from the round you lost. In shorter words, this is the marathon mode to beat the game.

Survival: Here you will have to battle out to the death. You choose two characters and fight through several rounds that keep getting harder and harder, until one of your characters is dead. Unlike tournament mode, you can't continue from the same round; when your dead, your dead.
Think you have what it takes??

Time Attack:
Just like tournament and arcade, you will fight 8 rounds of characters and come to a boss. But there is a catch, now you are measured for time to see how quick you can beat the game, and the record is stored in your memory card. For some reason these records get saved but not the unlocked characters.

Characters

Here i'll just name a few of the characters that i'm more familiar with, though there are 20 characters originally and 19 that are unlock-able, making a total of 39 characters.

Anna Williams: The only reason I am writing about her is because I am familiar with this girl, and I had to include at least one so here she is. I have tried using her a few times and she sucks. It is very hard to adapt to any good moves with her, and she is the definition having to press all the buttons on the controller to save your butt. Sorry Anna, but your just not that great.....

Armour King: This guy is tall, either looks like or is a tiger, and has medium to bad maneuverability. An up side though is that he is big, and does a lot of damage. There are two ways you can use him.
1. Press all the buttons
2. Find the one move that constantly keeps your opponent away and does damage to them when they get near. I believe it's either a front kick, or a back flip in the their face. I have won several times with him, just doing this. In VS battle I would choose him in my list of 8.

Gun Jack and Jack 2: Gun Jack can be used from the beginning and Jack 2 must be unlocked. I only unlocked Jack 2 once, but there was not much of a difference between the 2 except for maybe a few moves and damage amount. Both Jack's are androids that are very powerful because of their bionic engineering. Being more stiff than Armour King, these two characters would be useless if it were not for their incredible power and damage that they can inflict. I'll take either on my list.

Jin Kazama: Being the son of Kazuya and the grandson of Heihachi, Jin is main character of the story of Tekken. Supposedly he is supposed to be the best fighter in Tekken, according to the story, but it's really about how you play. He's a good player, moves well, attacks strong and makes it on my list, but not my best player. I do admire his character though after watching the movie Tekken.

Kazuya Mishima: Although I don't remember playing with him in earlier years because I never unlocked him, I'd just like to state that this is the son of Heihachi Mishima, of who I will explain later.

Eddy Gordo: My favorite character of all time, because of his tight style. This fighter uses capoeria, a Brazilian  fighting style of elegance, therefore making him either one of, or the most maneuverable players making him my favorite. If I ever have problems getting the swiftness of his style down, he has an awesome round about kick that will hit anyone in the face coming towards him a.k.a. his cheep move. He is without a doubt number one on my 8 list.

Forest Law: When I play this game, he reminds me so much of Bruce Lee with his face, his moves, and his "no-shirt". Play the game yourself and you'll see. But yes, he moves very well, has great attacks with good damage and easily makes it to my list of 8.

Heihachi Meishima: The father of the guy I told you about (3 characters above) and a very old Asian guy (in the game looks white) who has very good fighting skills. He is short which makes it good when fighting most players because they can not hit him as easily. Also he can produce sparks and do some really crazy meditating stuff. Oh I almost forgot, he has the coolest hair-cut ever, with two spiked back wings on the side of his head and a bald spot in the middle. Medium to good maneuverability, good moves, and medium damage; he makes it on my list.

King: Basically exactly the same as armour king, except without the armour. Despite the fact that it's dorky, I think i'll stick with the armour for more protection. King or Armour King? You know the answer.

Yoshimitsu: This is the Samurai of complete epicness. I'll admit it's hard to get used to his moves and combos, but MAN, I promise when you know what your doing with him you will destroy. He is dressed in a complete body armour suit and has a vicious samurai sword which he can sit on and send different sparks from. My memory is a bit dull so I can't bring up anything else but definitely has what it takes to bring you down. He wins for the coolest character in the game, in my opinion. On my list.

So hope you liked the long review and check out the movie Tekken, it's much newer than the game and it will help you understand more about the story and characters. Also there are newer versions of Tekken, the newest being "Tekken 6", which you can get for PS3 and Xbox 360. Well thanks for reading, and i'm sure you have questions, so ask below.

Modern Family

Hi my followers, the few that there are. Today, yes, I will briefly talk about the show Modern Family because it was requested under viewer's choice. If you would like to choice your own topic, just state what you want me to write about and the next post is yours.

Where To Watch
There are 2 seasons so far and 49 episodes total, and you can watch them all on   sidereel.com
Just put "Modern Family" into search and click it. Select which episode you'd like to watch, and use either megavideo or videobb as video players, so that if one runs out you can use the other. You can also download caocaoweb for unlimited use, but I won't go into that now, so for more details on that ask below.

The Show
There are 3 families all related to each other at least by one person, and throughout all the episodes they live the life of a modern family in a comical way, and at the end there is always a moral. The first family is the biggest and consists of a mother(Clare), and father(Phil), and two daughters (Haley and Alex) and one younger son (Luke) who go to high and elementary school. My favorite character is Phil, the father in that family, because he's very clumsy and absent-minded. Second family has a father (Jay, father of Clare and Mitchell), a Colombian mother (Gloria), and her son a.k.a. Jay's stepson (Manny). It's funny because the mother in this family is young and people get confused when they see her with Jay, an older guy in his 60's. The third family has two gay guys (Mitchell and Cam) who adopt an Asian baby, hence the name "Modern Family".

Scene
One of my favorite scenes from the show would be when Dillon (Haley's boyfriend), comes to her house to get back together with her and parks his car in front of the door of a porter-potty that Phil is using. Clare then brings over an old friend who Phil tries to hit on, through the crack of the door that he can open when he tries to get out of the potty. I know there are better scenes to give examples of, but it's not coming to me now.  I would say all of the episodes are funny and worth watching because they always come up with some new content, so check out a couple episodes and tell me what you think. I guarantee you'll laugh, lol. Comment underneath when you've watched an episode and you think you have a scene that can top the one I just described :)

NBA Live 2003

So another EA sports games for the PC. Lets get right into it.

Although this game is old, it has plus sides to it. Actually the fact that it's older makes the gaming interface a lot easier and less complicated to memorize. There are all the different teams in the NBA plus teams from like the 80's, 70's, 60's, and 50's that you can use in an arcade/quick play game. You can control as many teams as you would like when playing tournament mode (suggest 1-3 teams) alternating after each game. My two favorite teams are Miami Heat and Washington Wizards and I will completely demolish anyone who tries to play me, just as long as I get the keyboard. Like FIFA in my last post, in this game you can use a special PC controller to play if you feel more comfortable with it; I prefer to use keyboard. There are a few more modes, I forget exactly but I do know about One-On-One. The name is self-explanatory as each player chooses their best player and plays up to 11 to see who's got the skills; if playing against the computer you choose your opponent also. Dwayne Wade is my man but unfortunately he wasn't in the NBA yet, so my next pick is Michael Jordan :). Thanks for reading, questions and comments below.
